Haven update in almost 6 weeks.. haha my entries are getting more n more rare lately. part of the reason is of course me being an lazy ass.. the other reason i think would b because there really isnt much to talk about my work now.. most of the places that i go now are those that i'd been to b4, so i dun really go sightseeing any more. Especially since Rostering hasnt really been kind to me.. haha i wasn given alot of aussie flights n middle east flights.. bah.. boring stations... but thank god for my 2weeks of annual leave.. i was saved from the boredom of flying constantly

This japan trip has been something that Sheng and i have been looking forward to for the longest time. I've always wansted to go Japan coz I've nv fly there b4.. yes yes.. *gasp* *shock* and watever nots.. seriously.. somehow or rather i was never rostered or called up to operate to Japan b4. we have Narita, Fukuoka, Osaka and Nagoya.. out of all.. i wasnt even lucky to get one of them.. just no japan fate i guess. Plus i was all along interested in Japan for their culture, language and beautiful scenery. so Japan has been somewhere i really really wanna go. For Sheng, its largely because he had spent some time of his childhood in Japan n had much wonderful memories of that place with his family. Thats y.. Japan will always b somewhere very special for him. This japan trip will serve as an ORD holiday for him and a 1st solo flight for me. Im just very happy to be able to spent my virgin trip to japan with him.. n him wanting to relive his childhood memories with me

Planning holidays can b quite a headache. From the booking of air tickets to accomodation to itinery n all.. but i guess with all the previous travelling experience tgt... this trip was planned rather quickly. =D in case any of u planning for holiday trips or ORD trips n looking for hotels.. http://hotel.comparehotel.com.sg is a website that gives u the cheapest rates for all the hotels across alot of hotel websites. gives very good deal n saves alot of time. with the 13 days in japan... we spent 6 nights in tokyo, 1 night in Hakone 4 nights in Osaka and last night in tokyo b4 coming home. This gave us sufficient time to cover all the places we wanted to go =)

Of all these places.. my personal favourite would definitely be Hakone first followed by Kyoto. And for Tokyo, its not the shopping area i like.. but Meiji Shrine and Disneyland!! Disneyland for obvious reason.. my 1st time to D.land. Meiji was because of the good time n good weather i experience there. Of coz all the cute little childrens in their kimono celebrating 753 Day played a part too.. The slow stroll through the park, lazing n rolling on the green lawn against the blue blue sky was really quite an experience. Especially since it was with someone i love. = good experience x 100! =DD

Really really had a good time there.. but of course.. there were many unhappy situations along the way too. For instance.. stupid me lost the JR 7 days rail pass for both of us.. its worth 900 sgd n can only b purchase overseas.. hence.. we gotta dig out about another 900 to pay per trip for travel on their subway n shinkansen... blah!!! soooo annoying.... rarh...

i learn alot of things through this trip.. the dos n donts.. wat to bring n prepare.. n most importantly.. the biggest lesson is that is not easy for 2 person to live tgt... day in day out see each other's face.. although we had our downs.. im soooo glad we manage to pull through it. that 2 weeks was indeed very testing.. when put in a foreign land with many problems... it can sometimes change a person... wheeewh! heng we were able to sort out our problems n emotions n still have a super memorable holiday! i cant wait for the next holiday!!! n it would b in next may to Bangkok!!! with Sera Huiyu Michelle Jason Jingan Pohswee Jieli Mingxuan n Sheng!!! 10 of us!!! i really cant wait too.. overseas with my favourite friends... all i wan for xmas is Next May!!!

life has been good to me lately.
roster wasnt really that desirable.. but still.. it aint too bad n im not complaining...
nothing worth mentioning.. nothing happening.. nothign exciting..
somehow i've onli been flying for 1yr 4 months n im kinda sian of it le..
well.. i still like sightseeing.. n all th chit-chatting.. but somehow or rather.. everythigng just feel unreal n empty once im back in singapore.

it has always been boyfriend n work boyfriend n work...
not that its not good. in fact.. it feels good.... but something's just amiss..
i miss the company of other ppl.. ppl whom i actually know very well n not just random souls on flight..
i miss the joy of gathering with my friends..
i miss the dumb gossip sessions with my friends instead of those 'where to go for shopping' kinda topics..
i miss being loved by ppl other then bf.
i miss doing things for myself.

sometimes.. when life is too good.. i will feel scared. probably because it doesnt seem real anymore.. without all the little 'troubles'.. it becomes too smooth sailing to b true. i dun wanna just float through my life. i wanna feel that im in control. n now.. i know that im not. i have lost some things that i once possess n i wan it back badly.

dont out cast me jsut because im not physically around.
donnt rule me out just because im no longer the same as u guys..
i so wanna b included. even if it means i will b damn busy...it's worth it.

i know that im a attention seeking soul.. but its only until recently i discover that im someone who lust for so much love. like a bottomless pit. im always hungry for more. n i dun just wan it from 1 person. shit. thats bad isnt it?

Congratulations to Mr Siow Sheng Zhong, for passing his Manual Driving Test on the 1st attempt on 5th Aug 09 and within a span of 2 months!

=) yes.. Sheng just passed his driving test.. soon will b my turn..i hope.. Gosh.. im still on the 4th lesson? n i actually missed it because i overslept... wat a good way to piss my driver off :S

anw.. now that Sheng's driving. travelling has become more convenient! (or not.. since we spent longer time on the road getting lost).. hahaha. i was his first passenger ( and survived) n we drove to Bugis for dinner on the day itself to celebrate. well... the actual destination was Vivo.. but somehow.. we got lost upon following my 'instincts'.. so we ended up in bugis. =) not too bad.. we had dinner in MOF n went Dempsey Hill for some dessert in Ben n Jerry's! <3>

the next time we went out was with Wei n Carryl to Marina Sq to watch UP! 3D. sorry for digressing a little but.. but the show was fantastic. Mainly because i jsut realise my fetish for 3D movies recently.. since Ice Age 3.. i thought the special effect was damn cool =) ok anyway.. it was fun going out with his brother n his gf.. 2 of them makes a damn cute couple! too bad i didnt take any photos with them.. we went to Ion orchard to jalan jalan a bit b4 we headed to Dempsey for dinner. wat did i jsut sae about our favourite hangout? =)

poor Sheng gotta drive us around the whole day. first to fetch me from airport at 630am n send me home. then bring his dad to golf course. then back to my house to fetch me...n back to Cashew to wait for Wei n Carryl. Next was to Marina Sq, Ion Dempsey n finally sending everyone back home. :S i guess it sucks to b a chauffeur. thanks dear for being so nice n ferry us around! deeply appreciated!

last but not least im gonna make an announcement, to whoever that passes by my blog n is gonna b a passenger in Shengs car, current friends/ his future uni friends (applies to all girls only)... the passenger seat next to the driver in the car is specially reserved for me. understooded? =) Sheng, please dont flip when u read this k.. hahaha im just being a little bit possessive here.

n to add on as a safety reminder.. will all passenger in Sheng's car please remember to fasten ur seat belt. dun sae i nv warn u huh.. muahahahahah

i've been back from my holiday for almost a month now. Been thinking of writing somethign about it but dunno where to start from. too much to say n too troublesome to write it out. within that 4-5 days in cape town, i took over 800 photos.. which just explains how beautiful that place is. i cant stop myself from snapping photos everywhere i go.

the whole trip was a v v v enjoyable one. the first time i brought my parents overseas in fact. with me planning everything. things went smoothly.. except for the fact that mym dad almost couldnt join us as flight was full n he was on subload ticket *cold sweats* and on the way back.. he almost couldnt join us becuase i booked the ticket for the wrong day for him.. opps =P *icy sweats tis time*.. hahaha he was soo looking forward to the holiday.. imagine his face when the lady told him that he might not b able to join us. luckily, the gnetleman(whom i assume to b the manager) got my dad on the flight at the last minute... thank god!

the best surprise for me was that the 'hotel' which i randomly booked online turned out to b an amazing service apartment, fully furnished with kitchen, living roon n dining table. even my mom was impressed. n its only about 600sgd for 4 nights. damn worth it! that place really made us feel at home. n we managed to have much cosy family time during the night =D Sunshine Villa Guest House.. from Hotelclub.com.. if anyone is planning to go there. this place has got my vote!



Since i have never been to Cape Town, n heard from crew that it isnt v safe, i booked a tour guide to bring us around for the length of stay there. Ms Soraya, recommended by crew (coz she use to bring the crew for tour when we stayed there) happily agreed to bring my family for the tour. this way.. i have one less thign on my list to fret about. She'll do all the planning for me. where to go, when to go, wat to do n wat see.
as its 'winter' in Cape Town, weather can b v unpredictable. For example, you can experience almost all 4 season in 1 day. winter during dawn, spring in the morning, summer in afternoon and autumn in the evening. but on the mountains n coastal areas.. its cccccoold... brr... furthermore, where we go depends on the fog and clounds too. the view wont b as good if we go up the mountain on a foggy or cloudy day.. fortunately, Soraya is v v experienced. she is almost like a weather forecaster.. she will bring us to the right place at the right time for us to get the best view.
a little sunmmary of our itinery below. its amazing cox we really covered like the whole of cape town within that few days.. (weather was surprising good when we went)

1st day: Ostrich Farm, Table Mountain n the Muslim District (colourful houses)




2nd day: Winery tour! went to many vineyards (KWV.. a south africa wine lable) to taste wine, cheese and chocolate factory in Franschhoek too.. but i cant really remember the region we went to. we also went to come cheetah conservatory =)
3rd day: we went Seal watching off the shore, Penguins scouting in Boulder's Bay, Cape Point, Cape of Good

4th day: Kirstenborch National Botanical Garden, False Bay, Hermanus for whale watching and the long coastal drive back to our hotel. we even went to watch the sunset! timing was just right! it was sooo beautiful... better than the one in Santorini!

this lady is damn good. she manage to bring us almost everywhere within that 4 days there. im really impressed. but of course the best part was that my parents enjoyed themselves =) luckily i didnt bring them to the wrong place. i knew they would enjoy kinda scenery more than city life.
the food there was good too. Seafood! Prawns n Oysters! for lunch everyday <3 n we had dinner at home. went to the grocery store n bought food back to heat up. make full use of the kitchen. n my dad enjoying his wine with his dinner. this fellow enjoying life =D

That was my 1st time to Milan. And guess what? The sale starts on the day we touched down. How lucky eh? n i've already prepared my shopping list weeks ago... lalala.. a fruitful trip on the whole *wink*

I love the hotel we staying at. The Chedi. their bedrooms r damn nice. comfy bed with lotsa pillows n fully equipped bathroom. plus the room is big that i can dance around the room =) heres my Room 303!

so nice hor. but this is definitely not the best hotel i've stayed so far. Dubai, Beijing, Delhi Shanghai's hotel topped my list! Anw, upon checked in. the crew bathed n came down for makan n later on shopping at Domo. i like italian food.. but pizza n pasta for lunch n dinner n for every day of the stay is simply too much. furthermore, we always go back to the same restauant. Blah... too much.. n their serving is huge. can feed 3 asian girls lo... stupid me ordered a appitizer (mussels) n pizza for myself during one of the meal.. hahah i was already full by the time i halfway thru my mussels....

we bought tram tickets n headed to Domo. Domo is the Cathedral in the middle of the town. n its beautiful! especially against the blue sky in summer. tadah!

but than again.. almost all cathedral in europe look sooomething similar hor? ahaha just that this has more spokes at the top. boy, summer in europe is no joke. freaking hot. not as bad as dubai.. but definitely worst than singapore. thank god for the occassional wind.... *sweats

n apart from shopping n pasta n pizza.. we had ice cream everyday from this particula store.. its huge n damn good=) i <3>
